An interstellar ship ferrying prisoners and travelers crash lands on deserted planet. The survivors set out on finding the necessary resources to survive and leave the planet, all the while being mindful of Riddick, a dangerous and animalistic murderer. They soon realize that not only is Riddick the least of their problems, he may be their only hope in surviving against a host of carnivorous creatures that thrive in the dark. Unfortunately for the survivors, the planet is about to plunge into a 20 year eclipse.
