Watched this movie a week or so ago after putting it off for ages (I didn't really like the look of the cover). However, it had gone to a "weekly" in Blockbuster so gave it a go.
I must say it's been a long time since I've seen a movie that has affected me as deeply as this one. I'm still replaying parts of it in my head a week later.
The main theme of the movie is racism, but it's really about humanity.....the goods, the bads and the indifferents.
There are some pivotal moments in the movie that just knocked the wind out of me emotionally, (and I don't really "do" emotionally).
Well acted, looks good, good soundtrack that really enhances rather than distracts.
Loved it......

This is a film of collisions that touches on vehicles, personalities, attitudes, and stereotypes. Crash extends its cross-examination of racial attitudes and stereotypes across a sprawling canvas of intersecting storylines in the lives of a score of characters across a day and a half in LA.

The characters clearly embody recognizable types — and then, without in any way transcending or deconstructing that label, they show us another side that we associate with a completely different label. I know I found myself associating with characters throughout.

A really good racially driven movie. Stereotypes are shit people.

One of the most touching and real commentaries on how the real world oftentimes perceives people to be or how they can immediately be placed into stereotypes. This film not only shows how often society places people in stereotypes by how the actors handle each other, but also does with within your own mind. I often times found myself assuming a character would turn out one way or the other based on their looks when in the end my assumptions just left me sitting there looking like a fool. In the end, it's just a wonderfully acted masterpiece by a dream team cast.
