I really enjoyed the overall feel good message and idea of the story. Unfortunately, that's all I enjoyed. The acting was very poorly done in many cases and it seemed like a straight to tv movie (which is understandable as it was created on a $100,000 budget by mostly volunteers of a church in Georgia). Another point they missed on this is a bit of attention to detail. At one point in the movie a player goes down holding his knee. A few seconds later as he's walking off the field, the announcers point out that the player had broken his collarbone. Am I missing something and the knee and collarbone are connected? I know I've broken both of my collarbones and I don't remember having any troubles walking or knee troubles in general. Maybe it's a football thing.
The first part of the movie was very drawn out also (as they attempted to make the viewer really feel sympathetic towards the coach and all of his troubles). Once the "new plan" gets put into place, things move a lot better and there are parts where the movie can actually be enjoyable. Overall, it's worth seeing if you have time and little to do, but don't make time for it.
