I had the unique chance of interviewing Zach Helm a couple of weeks ago. He said this script has been written for over a decade! When Hoffman was cast in Stranger than Fiction, Helm knew he'd found his Mr. Magorium. Young audiences will love the magic of the living toy store--there are too many things going on at once to notice everything fantastic that's happening! Everyone else will appreciate Mr. Magorium's charm and wisdom, his heart and his sentiments. A truly enchanting film, and a wonderful first-time directing effort from Helm.
