Is any one planning on seeing this movie! I can't wait for it to come out.
Ya, it looks pretty good.
After watching the Russian trailer and a behind the scenes featurette, I'm really looking forward to this. I think they're marketing it terribly though.
I'm with Mike on this one. I think it looks like it could be great, but i think they aren't going to do a good job.
Probably not. Looks awful. Angelina Jolie was wandering around Chicago for a while being weird while they were shooting it.
It's doing quite well on Rotten Tomatoes, early in the reviews but still good. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/...
I saw a making of, and I'm telling you guys it's a less stylistic (but still done in a similar way) Sin City type movie. It's based off a graphic novel and they're imposing a lot of the feel from the novel right to the film. As I said before, they just need to hire someone else to market it because they're attempting to make it look like a mainstream action movie about curvy bulleted hitmen when it's much more.
Yeah i heard Angelina Jolie talking about it. Saying its about assassins who don't just kill people without purpose, they kill people who are going to do bad things or people that have committed horrendous acts.
MikeDavis: I just read your comment and I wasn't aware it was anything different than what the previews made it seem. I'm curious now...
I ended up going to see it last weekend for it's opening. It's a good film, but not as great as I was hoping. Very enjoyable action film with some intense scenes. Definitely worth a watch.
God no! it looks ridiculous! Curving a bullet??? ummm... no.
Why is curving a bullet so unbelievable? It's a comic book movie. It didn't seem you were turned off by The Matrix, while I understand that Neo wasn't in the real world, the last film in the trilogy you gave a 9/10 and it was just as unrealistic as trying to curve a bullet.
"Why is curving a bullet so unbelievable?" Because it's not possible. It's actually not just the unbelievable part that I don't like. I enjoy unrealistic movies a lot, but they have to be in good taste. I imagined this movie to be something for brainless people who need flashy shiny things to keep there attention, but after seeing so many people that use a website like this say they enjoyed it, I'm more willing to give it a shot. I think the previews may have ruined it for me too. I wasn't even aware that there might be more to it until I read Mike's post here. I'm curious now.
I found the movie quite entertaining with some high energy action. I agree with Mike, it is worth a watch.
