The film shows Rufus in New York at work in the studio, in his home town of Montreal on the eve of an emotional homecoming concert, and features interviews with his mother, the legendary folk singer, Kate McGarrigle, his singer songwriter sister Martha Wainwright and 'Poses' producer Pierre Marchand.
