He discovers, however, that no one wants to hire the son of a notorious criminal. Then a lawyer informs Bob that it will take big bucks to get his dad paroled, and he decides to get the cash by any means necessary. In a flash, Bob Cain, Jr. becomes Johnny Apollo, participant in organized crime. But the outlaw life turns out to be full of complications -- as Johnny learns after falling for a gangster's beautiful moll. Worse yet, Bob's father disowns him when he finds out about his son's new identity.
